Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies works under the control of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department. & is responsible for the implementation of Public Distribution System in the State. Under PDS, the office of Director of Food & Civil Supplies implements, monitor & supervise the various schemes such as Antyodaya Scheme, BPL Scheme, APL Scheme, Annapurna Scheme, Model Fair Price Shop Scheme, Food Helpline, etc. Allocation of food grains, sugar, SKO, Edible oil, Iodized salt etc. to the districts; monitoring of lifting & distribution of PDS commodities from FCI godowns to GSCSC godowns or flour mills & from there to FPS & at the end to the ration card holders, ensuring timely availability with good quality & entitled quantity at prescribed rate to all ration card holders is the key function area of the office of DFCS
